The production facility of Proto Chemicals AG in Mitlödi, Switzerland, was specifically established to produce the active substance tramadol. Today, generic and original products are produced for external customers.

The site combines a modern production facility for an active substance with long-term experience and distinct expertise of the Grünenthal employees.

Proto Chemicals AG is certified by the FDA, European and Japanese (PMDA) inspectorates and certified according to EN ISO 14001, ISO 5001:18 and ISO 45001.
